Shakespeare Series
I created this series revisiting William Shakespeare’s texts, going back to excerpts of his plays that I loved to read and enjoy when I was a college student. The idea of juxtaposing words and lines of text is an attempt to replicate the moment when one is reading, or better still, watching the performance, and the words flow and pile up, having different effects on us. Some words or phrases just elude us, while some others leave an imprint on our minds and feelings. These words can constitute the departure point for us to want to come back to the text and reinterpret it, in a universal and personal way at the same time.
